SODIUM HYALURONATE

Sodium hyaluronate is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. The molecule, now of synthetic origin, was originally obtained by the bacterial fermentation of cock’s crests. Hyaluronic acid is one of the main components of connective tissue and plays an important structural role in skin, along with collagen and elastin. The main property of hyaluronic acid is the ability to bind a large number of water molecules ensuring the hydration of the skin.
