SODIUM LACTATE

Sodium lactate is the sodium salt of lactic acid, an acid formed naturally by the bacterial fermentation of food, while it is industrially produced by the bacterial fermentation of starch and molasses. He possesses very good wetting properties and is a worthy substitute for glycerine. It makes the skin smooth and soft to the touch. It is also a bacteriostatic that does not kill bacteria, but stops their proliferation.
