HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL UNSAPONIFIABLES

Sunflower Seed oil can be extracted by pressing or by solvent extraction from sunflower seeds. The unsaponifiable part of this oil is particularly rich in vitamin E and Squalene, which are important elements for the regeneration of the skin. Unsaponifiable is the term used for the components of these oils that resist the saponification process and have a significant content of fat-soluble vitamins and phytosterols. Phytosterols play an important role in topical applications (creams) due to their natural protective action.
