Cleansers are used to clean the face and remove excess dirt, oil and makeup. They come in many forms including bar soaps, liquid soaps, lotions, foams, gels and powders.
Know Your Cleanser
The most common cleansers are made from surfactants. A surfactant is a chemical that lowers the surface tension between two liquids or between a liquid and a solid.
Some cleansing products also contain water-soluble polymers such as cellulose derivatives (e.g., sodium carboxymethyl cellulose), polyvinylpyrrolidone or panthenol.
It’s a Trial and Error Process
There are so many different face washes on the market that it is hard to know which ones are good. The biggest problem is that most of them don’t work. They are priced at $40 or more and they don’t make any difference in your skin.
This is exactly the reason why you must perform research and read reviews to be able to know what to expect as soon as you decide to buy and use the product.
